Hello and welcome to Beyond the Pink Door 💗
I’m Andrea , a lifelong sewing enthusiast originally from Co. Galway in the west of Ireland, now based in the beautiful south of England.
Sewing has always been part of my story. I learned at a young age from my mum and grandmother, and by my teens (and well into my twenties!) I was making most of my own clothes. While my friends were heading to the high street, I was happiest wandering fabric shops, dreaming up my next make. My style was never about being loud , just about creating something that felt completely me.
After a short break from sewing, I rediscovered my love for dressmaking in 2018… and that was it , I was hooked all over again.
Beyond the Pink Door began as a hobby alongside my YouTube channel. Then in 2020, when my Irish dance costume business was put on pause, I took a leap of faith and turned that hobby into what is now our thriving online fabric shop.

Every fabric you’ll find here has been chosen with care. We focus on beautiful colours, inspiring designs, and most importantly .. quality.
Our philosophy is simple:
we only stock fabrics we would genuinely love to sew with ourselves.
We know how important it is to feel confident in what you’re buying online, so we’re always here to help. Whether you need advice on fabric choices, pattern pairing, or just a second opinion, you can always reach out — we love a good sewing chat.
Our Community
One of the most special parts of Beyond the Pink Door is the community that has grown around it.
Since October 2020, our Sunday YouTube Lives have become a weekly ritual. We chat sewing, showcase fabrics “in action,” and share pattern ideas, all in a relaxed, friendly space that many describe as a virtual fabric shop visit.
It’s informal, it’s fun, and you’re always welcome to join us.
Where We Are Now
We’re now based in Poundbury in Dorset, where Beyond the Pink Door continues to grow , alongside our creative space, The Makers Studio, your creative escape for sewing classes and workshops.
Worldwide Shipping
We ship worldwide and are always working to expand our shipping destinations, so wherever you are, we hope to bring a little bit of Beyond the Pink Door to you.
